Premium Longevity Health Screening in China — Benchmarked Against Singapore

Premium longevity health screening in China — full-body MRI, low-dose CT and cancer gene panel

A CNY 29,800 longevity screening package — low-dose lung CT, MRI of two body regions and a 12/14-item cancer gene panel — at roughly 56% below Singapore’s published concierge tier, with every inclusion itemised and payment escrowed.

Updated September 2026. China’s premium international hospitals now sell screening programmes that match Singapore’s concierge tier on specification — whole-body MRI, low-dose lung CT and a multi-gene cancer panel — at roughly half the price. This page itemises one such package line by line, and benchmarks it against the published prices of comparable programmes in Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

1. The package and what it costs

Raffles Hospital Beijing (Chaoyang District) — part of the Singapore-listed Raffles Medical Group, and a hospital in our verification pipeline — publishes a VIP Longevity Health Screening package that bundles genetic testing as standard rather than as a paid add-on. Published pricing:

PackageHospital price (RMB)USD
VIP Longevity Health Screening — male¥29,800$4,441
VIP Longevity Health Screening — female adds gynae ultrasound, TCT, HPV 27-genotype, breast imaging¥30,800$4,590

Currency, plainly: the hospital prices in RMB only. The USD column is ours, converted at 1 USD = 6.71 CNY (ECB reference rate, 14 September 2026). If the rate moves, the RMB figure is the one that is real. Screening packages are repriced periodically — we confirm the current price in writing for your date rather than quoting a cached number.

2. What the figure actually buys

This is not a basic checkup with a premium label. Itemised from the hospital’s own package sheet:

DomainIncluded
Clinical examinationDoctor consultation and physical; ENT; oral; ophthalmology with intraocular pressure and fundus imaging
Blood & metabolicFull blood count with differential; liver panel (12); kidney panel; electrolytes (6); cystatin C; lipid panel (7, incl. ApoA1 / ApoB / Lp(a)); HbA1c and glycated albumin; thyroid panel (5) plus thyroid autoantibodies
Tumour markers13 markers for men / 11 for women — incl. AFP, CEA, CA19-9, CA125, SCC, CYFRA21-1, NSE, pepsinogen PGI/PGII
ImagingUltrasound of abdomen, thyroid, heart, urinary tract and carotid arteries; bone-density scan; chest X-ray; low-dose lung CT; MRI of two body regions (head, cervical/lumbar spine, abdomen or knee)
Heart & gut12-lead ECG with physician interpretation; H. pylori C13 breath test
GenomicsCancer high-risk gene panel (12 items male / 14 female); thyroid cancer risk; Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s risk assessment
MicrobiomeGut microbiome disease-risk panel
Women onlyGynaecological ultrasound; TCT; HPV 27-genotype; breast ultrasound or mammography
DeliveryBreakfast, individual written report, 1:1 senior-doctor interpretation, 1:1 escort (book ≥3 working days ahead), VIP waiting room, free parking, 50% off add-ons

The four components the hospital prices separately as add-ons — cancer gene panel (¥6,500), microbiome panel (¥1,980), thyroid cancer risk (¥880) and Alzheimer’s / Parkinson’s risk (¥1,600) — total ¥10,960 (about $1,633). In this package they are included. That is the structural reason the headline figure is honest rather than padded: most of the depth sits in the genomics and imaging lines, not the marketing copy.

3. How it compares across Asia

Premium screening in Asia splits into two clear price bands. Every figure below was read on the provider’s own published page in September 2026 — none are estimates:

ProviderTierLocal price (M / F)USD (M / F)
Raffles Hospital Beijing
Beijing
VIP Longevity Health Screening (incl. gene panel)¥29,800 / ¥30,800$4,441 / $4,590
Bumrungrad International
Bangkok
Vitality Plus Cancer Genes (top tier with gene panel)THB 86,000 / THB 87,500$2,586 / $2,632
Raffles Medical Group
Singapore
Raffles SignatureS$4,218 / S$4,488$3,320 / $3,532
Raffles Medical Group
Singapore
Pinnacle (the group's top tier)S$12,558 / S$12,685$9,884 / $9,984
Mount Elizabeth / Parkway Shenton
Singapore
Screen Excelsior (concierge)S$12,388 / S$12,888$9,750 / $10,144

Where Beijing lands. The package sits above the Bangkok / mid-Singapore band ($2,586–$3,532) and well below Singapore’s concierge tier ($9,750–$10,144) — roughly 56% below the equivalent Singapore programme, while bundling MRI of two regions, low-dose lung CT and a 12/14-item cancer gene panel that the Singapore tiers treat as their top-of-range products.

The honest counterpoint. If a cancer gene panel is your only objective, Bangkok sells one for about $2,586 — roughly 1.7× less. Beijing’s premium buys three different things: a substantially broader screening bundle, a hospital inside a treatment network you can escalate into if something is found, and a Beijing location. If price-per-gene is your only metric, Bangkok wins, and you should tell yourself that before booking rather than after.

Sources: the published screening pages of Bumrungrad International, Raffles Medical Group (Singapore) and Mount Elizabeth / Parkway Shenton, read 14–15 September 2026. Prince Court (Kuala Lumpur) publishes only its entry tier (RM900, about $221) and leaves upper-tier pricing off its page, so it is excluded rather than guessed. Converted at 1 USD = 6.71 CNY · 33.25 THB · 1.2705 SGD (ECB reference, 14 Sep 2026).

4. What a genetic risk panel tells you — and what it does not

A multi-gene cancer panel looks for inherited variants associated with elevated risk of particular cancers; the Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s components report risk variants associated with those conditions. Used well, that is genuinely useful information. Used badly, it produces anxiety or false comfort.

  • It does not diagnose cancer. Most cancers are not inherited. A panel is a risk signal, not a verdict.
  • No variant found does not mean no risk. And a variant found does not mean you will develop the disease. Both directions matter.
  • Consider genetic counselling before testing, not after. Results can carry implications for siblings and children, and for insurance. This is worth deciding deliberately rather than as a line in a package.
  • Ask where your genomic data lives. Before consenting, know where the data is stored, for how long, and who can access it. We put that question to the hospital in writing on your behalf, and we will not arrange a test without an answer.

5. What this package is not

We sell screening. We do not sell certainty, and anyone who does is selling you something else:

  • Not a longevity treatment. No screening programme extends lifespan by itself. What you buy is information and a baseline you can measure against in future years.
  • Not a diagnosis. Screening turns up risk signals and incidental findings. Anything abnormal needs follow-up — often more imaging, sometimes a biopsy — and we tell you that before you pay, not after.
  • Not a substitute for symptoms. If you have symptoms, you need a diagnostic work-up, not a screening package. Tell us the symptoms and we will route you to the right department instead of selling you the higher-margin product.
  • Not a menu of cellular therapies. Stem-cell and similar infusions are medical treatments, not wellness products. We arrange them only where a licensed clinician confirms an approved indication and eligibility in writing. That is why you will not find a price list for them on this site.

6. Booking, timing and payment

Lead time. 2–4 weeks is typical. MRI and CT slots and the 1:1 escorts are the constraint, not the doctors — the escort requires at least three working days’ notice.

Duration. Most of the package completes in 1–2 days; allow two nights in Beijing. Your report and the 1:1 senior-doctor interpretation happen before you fly home, and you leave with the imaging on disk and a bilingual written summary for your own doctor.

Visa. Most Western nationals currently enter China visa-free or on a simple tourist visa, and Hainan’s Boao Lecheng medical zone has its own visa-free policy if you want to combine the trip. Rules change — your coordinator confirms the current position for your nationality before you book. See our China medical visa guide.

Payment. You fund an independent third-party escrow account, not us and not the hospital. Funds are released against documented milestones, and stay frozen if care is not delivered as agreed. You are never paying an agency a 30–60% markup on top of the hospital’s own figure — the price above is the hospital’s price.

7. FAQ

Is the price fixed, and is it the hospital’s own price?
Yes — ¥29,800 / ¥30,800 is the hospital’s published package price, and we do not add a markup to it. Packages are repriced periodically, so we confirm it in writing for your date.

Can I combine it with treatment if something is found?
That is the main reason to do it in China rather than at home. Abnormal findings can be escalated directly into the same hospital’s specialist departments, and we can then run a second, treatment-specific quote. Nothing is auto-booked — you approve each step.

Do I need to speak Chinese?
No. Report interpretation is in English with a senior doctor, and your coordinator handles scheduling, escort and hospital communication.

Will you arrange stem-cell infusions alongside a screening?
Only where a licensed clinician confirms an approved indication and eligibility in writing. Cellular therapies are treatments with real indications and real risks, and we will not sell one as a longevity add-on.

What about the cheaper screening packages?
Our standard executive checkup band runs $500–$1,500 and covers labs, ultrasound, ECG and physician review. See executive health checkup in China for that comparison, and dental implants in China for an itemised example of how hospital quotes are structured here.

Important: screening identifies risk; it does not guarantee outcomes or rule out disease. We never promise results, and the escrow protects your money rather than the clinical outcome. Get the written itemisation and a second opinion if you have doubts.
